BUTLER BOTTLES

Butler bottles fall into two basic categories; those with only the "Butler" name and those with "J. J. Butler". Bottles with James J. Butler’s initials date between 1854 and 1874. Bottles with only the name Butler, probably date from 1840 –1854. (List is not exhaustive)

The above list is not comprehensive. Other bottles are known. Including a label only including a smooth based cone ink, a large label only pontiled blue green master ink, along with several smooth base master inks with J.J Butler embossed..
