Old Ink Bottle Companies & Their History
Although Champion's ink was probably put in a label only bottle, the ad from Saturday Evening Post, 1823 gives us a good idea of what this early American ink looked like. There are very very old ink bottles known from that period. This was probably a Philadelphia company. It is unlikely that it is relating to the Billings ink.
