From the time the government allowed the registration of trademarks in 1876, the flow of names and images has not stopped.  Literally thousands of companies registered trademarks in the 19th century.  They gave their products not only fanciful names but also used eye catching graphics.  Such the was competition that ever more invent ways were required to catch the attention of the already saturated public.  This crush of registration exploded around the the turn of the 19th century.  Sit back and enjoy a quick look at some of their efforts.
