Several years back, at an auction I attended  I found a bottle in the shape of a locomotive that interested me.    The stack was the pour spout  and it had a date embossed.    I recognized it as a good ink bottle, but I had no idea of what is should bring. 

I did not have my own books with me,   When the bidding got to $80, I got cold feet.  The bottle went for $82.00  When I went home to look it up in my ink book, I was floored.  The last one had sold for $400.00.  Too bad I don’t have a better memory.  You won’t need to memorize prices when you can just look them up in this easy to use Ink Bottle price guide.
