HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT AN ANTIQUE BOTTLE?

  • SEND A PICTURE IF YOU CAN.

  • description of the embossing (if any)

  • size, especially the height

  • mouth of the bottle, type of lip, whether the mold seam stops or goes over the top of the lip. The style and shape of the mouth is very important to telling both the age and the type of bottle. 

  • base of the bottle (smooth, embossing, pontil marked )

  • shape of the bottle (round, rectangular, square)

  • does it have a label, embossed design, unusual shape

  • color: clear, aqua, amber, cobalt, emerald green, etc...

  • condition, i.e. is it damaged, or stained

  • tell me what you would like to know about the bottle, age, rarity, value or history
